María Lafuente is one of my predilected Spanish designers. I met her thanks to my fashion school (The Design School) and I felt in love with her designs and fabrics when I was her backstage assistant. You can see my backstage pictures HERE. I've also attended her runway shows at the Castilla and Leon Fashion Week (in which I could see the runway show of another amazing designer: Amaya Arzuaga).

This year, her Spring 2013 runway show took place at Utopic Gallery, a diaphanous space with a gorgeous decor that I also visit for another event. A perfect place for María Lafuente 'Pure' collection.

I could watch and touch the fabrics at the backstage. María Lafuente always get inspired by nature, and for this collection she used a potato starch and sugar cane material, as well as the raised petals (so beautiful!!), silk and lace. Jewels were really original, in recycled computer components.

'Pure' colour palette was focused on white and soft grey, with a touch of yellow. A range of colours very similar to Sita Murt's that will be sure a trend for next Spring 2013. The colours were, indeed, in harmony with the room.

I do love the gowns, the yellow dress at the beginning of the show and the grey one with the skirt full of flowers. Breath-taking.

Lace + Flowers + Architecture = delicate & gorgeous!

At the end of the show, Annua (an amazing restaurant&bar located in San Vicente de la Barquera) made us taste oysters and champagne.

Buen ambiente, unas vistas geniales y unos gin tonics inmejorables. ¿Qué más se podía pedir?

And at the night... We went to a private party in a gorgeous attic. Good atmosphere, great views and unbeatable gin tonics. What else could we ask for?
